Compass fostering is a leading independent Fostering Provider, dedicated to creating safe and supportive environments for children. We are looking for an Assessing Social Worker to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will play a crucial role in our assessment process, ensuring the well-being and suitability of potential foster carers. Twelve-month fixed-term contract. 5 flexible hours, evenings and weekends (suit the needs of the business) Hybrid model – 6 face to face and virtual visits. Travel time for 1 ½ hours – 2 hours each way. £39,000 pro-rata – holiday, sick leave, mileage/car allowance. Company equipment, laptop, phone etc Have a relevant professional qualification in Social Work. Are Social Work England (SWE) registered. Have worked in a fostering related social work role and /or child social care, such as a looked after children’s team. Have a good knowledge of fostering regulations, childcare law and safeguarding issues. Have access to a car and a valid driving licence. The successful applicants will be offered a role subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check.
